"An Uptown Story" is a multimedia exhibition capturing Harlem's essence through the oral histories and portraits of long-time residents who have lived in Harlem.

This concept is deeply rooted in my own life in this community, a love letter to the people and places that have shaped me. I moved into my father’s apartment 20 years ago, and my days on this block, surrounded by familiar faces, have been the wellspring of this vision. My father was the first person I told and photographed for the project. This work is my way of honoring the legacy of Harlem in the way I know best, through my craft.
